Our team of eye care professionals is experienced and friendly. We’re here to help all patients understand their benefits, schedule appointments, and fulfill their eye doctor’s orders. Our practice can give you guidance in picking out your perfect pair of eyewear, and our friendly office staff is knowledgeable about billing and benefits coverage.
Dr. John Clavadetscher
Dr. Clavadetscher grew up in the State of Washington and received 2 bachelor degrees at the University of Washington. He went on do research in vision and received a doctorate based on visual system modeling at the University of California at San Diego. He lived and taught University courses for several years in Europe and Asia, before returning to the area to do research in infant vision at the University of Washington. The primary focus there was on when infants first develop color vision and this involved extensive testing of infants from 2 weeks of age – just barely out of the womb – to 2 and 3 month olds. He has a number of professional publications and presentations.
He was a faculty member at two universities in the Midwest teaching courses in vision and behavioral sciences. After that, he obtained a doctorate in optometry from the New England College of Optometry in Boston with the goal returning back to practice in the beautiful Northwest.
He has lived in Lake Forest Park since moving back to the Seattle-Everett area since the 1990s. He has played adult soccer and has coached youth soccer for a number of years. He attends a variety of UW sporting and other events.
Dr. Clavadetscher believes that explaining and educating patients on their conditions is the best way for patients to make the best decisions about their vision and eye health. He uses his extensive vision research and teaching experience with vision and the eye to help patients to understand their eye conditions and options for treating or solving their vision and ocular health problems.
He is a member of the American Optometric Association, Optometric Physicians of Washington, and Professional Eye Care Associates.

Our staff keeps updated regularly on the latest materials and trends in the eye care world. They meet regularly with representatives from leading optical industry and trend setter businesses.
